Thrifty living started many, many years ago.
Thrift store clothes has been part of my wardrobe since I was a child but more so when I had to start buying my own clothes. (When) I had an office job and had to dress nice I was able to find skirts and shirts for about $3.00 to $5.00 each. Finding unique pieces that coordinate with other pieces I already purchased made life so much easier when dressing for work. Plus the hunt for that special clothing item is fun. Now days I don't have to dress up so I'm happy with a comfy pair of jeans and a t-shirt at home. Work clothes now are business casual. Last week when I was in Safeway in Chino Valley a lady asked me where I got my shirt which I was happy to tell her I bought it at Savers in Flagstaff for $3.00. It's a long sleeve black v-neck t-shirt with a butterfly graphic on it, it's one of my favorites too. I do draw a line on clothing items purchased at a thrift store I DON'T by socks, underwear or bras at any thrift store those items are purchased new.
